Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

When there is a need for high level patient monitoring and care, patients are transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ICU may facilitate all types of medical, surgical and even complicated cardiac cases and houses a resident Intencivist.

In the ICU, all patients benefit from attentive and high level continuous monitoring, ensuring their safety and the prevention of any adverse circumstances which may arise.

When a patient status is considered stable by the attending doctor, the patient may be transferred and treated in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) adjacent to the ICU.
